About Us
Our Story
From humble beginnings.
Stelios Papaioannou migrated to the United States in 1967 with the hopes of a better life & future. Settling in New Hampshire, he met the love of his life, Augostina, while she was visiting her family. Shortly after, they married and welcomed their daughters Helen & Joanne. From Perth Amboy to Virginia, they finally moved to Wildwood in 1978.
Eager to give his daughters the same opportunities he came for, he sacrificed countless hours in restaurants as a dishwasher, until he saved enough to open a restaurant of his own. With his family by his side, they operated the Quality Restaurant in Wildwood for 25 years.

As fate would have it, Helen married Sam Mallous, whose family also owned a North Wildwood landmark, the Lamp Post Diner. With his culinary background and pastry expertise, Sam joined Stelios and purchased the Court House Diner in 1997. Now with the children running the daily operation, Stelios & Augostina can truly enjoy the fruits of their labor with their 4 proud grandchildren by their side.
